More on Super Powers

To continue a theme I posted about recently, what are your super powers? I really want to know what makes my network tick, so please share. Alternatively, let's schedule time to chat 1:1.

I mentioned last week that I was proud of my creative side, especially since it is not something I normally amplify or bring up in discussion. I could tell you lots of stories about how I have worked hard to hone my analytical skills, through formal education, self-study and practice. And those are qualities I use every day. But although I lack a degree or certification in the creative arts, I am finding it more and more satisfying to produce content daily; whether that means writing, photography, podcasts or videos.

I would say that my creative side also shines when I reflect on my cooking style. I do look at recipes for inspiration, but I'm quite happy piecing together starters, meals or drinks based on the ingredients I happen to have in my kitchen and garden. And I enjoy brewing my own kombucha at home. Let me know if you'd like any kombucha tips, because I've experimented a lot. And if you're local to me, I will gladly gift you some scoby (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast), the all-important starter ingredient.

I will add a final word on a second super power of mine, which is "showing up" for challenging or difficult situations. If I've given you my word, rarely will I back out or say I've changed my mind. If I see a person in need of assistance, I offer to lend support. It just seems like the right thing to do, and I value that quality in those people around me as well. Showing up means holding yourself accountable.

I'll close with a challenge to each of you (who have read this far) to consider what personal quality you are most proud to of.

Love your authenticity Ellen... and more because I know that's because that is truly you!! I don't know about super power, but it's a super gift.... I JUST LOVE PEOPLE!! This really helps me with listening and being able to lean in and help, no matter who you are or what you do. It's something I am intensely grateful for each day!!
