Every successful person I know has great habits that help them achieve remarkable success.
We don’t need to emulate the routines of people we admire to extract maximum benefit from the implementation of better habits.
However, we should recognize the "pattern" of predictable habits that make some people extraordinary.
By avoiding bad choices and making better decisions consistent with success, we can institute daily habits that create a foundation for positive momentum.
The power of better habits is well documented.
Once we embrace new habits, we become a reflection of our daily decisions.
Life no longer is left to chance and we commandeer full responsibility for our decisions and actions. That’s empowering!
Good habits build better behavior that energizes dreams and helps us allocate time more efficiently.
“A habit cannot be tossed out the window; it must be coaxed down the stairs a step at a time”. -Mark Twain
To be more successful these 7 habits will always make life better:
Financial habits
Many people struggle with financial discipline. They get swept up with the desire to live a life that can’t afford to create the illusion of success. A close friend is one of the top mortgage brokers in America. You would be amazed how many people are stretched to the max with little savings, buying fancy cars and big houses. Successful people aren’t concerned about what other people think. They develop financial discipline and embrace the habit of creating financial independence.
Health habits
Better health is at the heart of my personal and professional journey. I made the decision at age 15 to become a health fanatic. No drinking, intense exercise and all in on building a strong mind and body. Successful people make health priority number one, and they do whatever makes them move their body every day. Regular exercise, healthy eating, mindfulness, prayer. Whatever you do, make health a daily habit.
Business habits
We can debate the importance of work as it pertains to a satisfying life. Many people believe work is simply a means to an end. I believe work is essential for enjoying a fulfilling existence. When we pursue work that is gratifying and benefits those around us, we invest in making work meaningful. Building a business to make more money ultimately becomes unfulfilling. Without a greater purpose, profit becomes our only incentive. Successful people make work meaningful and create habits that emphasize the development of their "teams". Developing good professional habits is essential for success.
Productivity habits
Successful people have daily routines that keep them focused and highly productive. Many people waste time involved in unproductive activities inconsistent with success. Distraction is the number one reason people aren’t seeing measurable results in their efforts to develop personally and professionally.
“Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most”. -Abraham Lincoln
Discipline habits
We can’t get far without daily discipline. Developing discipline is paramount to becoming more successful. Discipline is essential for developing habits that support great routines that improve our personal and professional development. Once we embrace the mindset of better discipline, we begin to make daily decisions consistent with BEING a disciplined person.
Self-care habits
Hustle, grind, multiply everything by multiples of 10. Adopt this way of thinking and watch how fast we gravitate in the direction of burn out and unhappiness. Successful people make self-care a top priority because they understand the importance of endurance. Smart work is essential for success, but taking time to breathe and innovate is equally as important. We need to detach and focus on self-care to become successful. When we can walk away from work anytime for as long as we want, that’s success. It’s the great habit of making yourself priority number one.
Relationships habits
Successful people attract quality relationships because they make healthy relationships top priority. They give generously and surround themselves with extraordinary people that appreciate the value of reciprocity and kindness. Their close circle of friends is concentric, and they don’t waste time of perimeter friends that lack emotional intelligence. Develop the habit of picking your friends and intimate partners wisely.
“First forget inspiration. Habits are more dependable. Habit will sustain you whether you’re inspired or not”. -Octavia Butler
Sum it up.
