No More Stars

Light Pollution - Say goodbye to the stars in Salcombe, South Devon. This area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is gradually having it’s night sky eroded by large hotels and big houses.

The unnecessary use of artificial lights has become a real problem for the area.

These snaps are of the the artificial light emitting from the car park at The Harbour Hotel in Salcombe.

The shot taken from Snapes Point shows the beam of light ascending into space.

Devon council really need to get to grips with these properties that are lit up brighter than a football stadium.

It is not good for the environment, it’s not good for wildlife and it’s not good for you.

Let’s keep some places in Britain light pollution free, somewhere you can take your children to look at the Milky Way.

One of the greatest shows in the world and it’s free - if you keep the lights off.
