More on the Repeal of the Staircase Tax

I have previously posted a copy of a letter written by Clive Betts MP, Chairman of the Communities and Local Government Committee, to the then Minister for Local Government. I now attach links to copies of the new Minister's reply, together with a response by Mr Betts. There is still much work to be done here, and IRRV is playing its part. RSA has also been involved; but I feel that it is important that local government should also be involved, actively.

The problems with CCA are still under consideration, and I am one of a small delegation going to see the relevant Minister, Lord Bourne, later this month, to discuss progress with these which, contrary to Lord Bourne's expressed view in the House of Lords when the appeal amendment regulations were being debated, are (as ratepayers and practitioners know) are far from resolved.
