More random thoughts for your feed

Buffalo Springfield once sang, "There's something happening here...everybody look what's going down."

For you young'uns, Buffalo Springfield was a band out of California and Canada. They gave us the great Stephen Stills and the greater Neil Young. They also might have given us a C and an N but really don't feel like checking to confirm.

I much rather focus on my recent random thoughts. Awkward, segue.

I’ve gone from 5x to 1x a day checking my temperature.

Inexpensive, fermented grape juice is not that bad. Expensive can be better.

I wish I could support local restaurants more.

I still refuse to binge-watch Breaking Bad. Now, it’s a principle.

Did I use the correct form of principle in the prior bullet?

Apparently, there’s been a run on capers.

My wife and I are going to make homemade empanadas with beef picadillo this weekend. What can I use as a substitute for capers?

I look forward to the College’s virtual happy hour.

A duck egg is huge.

Duck eggs make great egg salad.

It’s hard to style and profile in a mask, but be damned if I don’t try.

My heart breaks for many.

It’s nice when someone tells me I know how to find and curate compelling stories.

Change of mind alert: I now think Houses of the Holy is better than Led Zeppelin III.

Stay the course alert: The Rolling Stones were better than the Beatles.

It took three viewings for Napoleon Dynamite to be funny.

I love cooking with my wife.

Outside my work-at-home window, I daily see goldfinches, blue jays, nuthatches, cardinals and chickadees.

David Eugene Edwards (16 Horsepower and Wovenhand) is a great songwriter.

It’s been seven months since I’ve been in 70+ degree weather.

My wife hasn’t kicked me out yet.

I agree that storytelling is slowly becoming a lost art, which frustrates me to no end. You, my friend, are an excellent storyteller!
