Mules do come in a great variety of sizes and colors from miniature to draft size. This makes them very versatile for a number of tasks. Draft mules are the product of a horse mare crossed with a mammoth jack donkey. I saw a mule recently at Mule Day with the Appaloosa pattern. Donkey's coloring may exhibit a lighter colored muzzle, and this shows up in some mules as well.
