So, another week has come and gone. It is crazy how fast time flies, especially when you are busy and enjoying what you are doing. The 2023 Table Grape season has also come and gone in the blink of an eye.
We saw some incredible grapes on the vine again this year and this was also the first year that we saw grapes in Limpopo. We also visited growers in the Orange River, Olifants region, the Berg River region, and the Hex River.
Here are some images from these trips.
Another very cool thing that we are fortunate to be involved in with the marketing is the brand new young vine maturing facility at Kleinberg Farms in the Hex River Valley.
Watch the next two videos to learn more about this awesome initiative for the Table Grape Industry.
While we are on the topic of Table Grapes, please do not forget to register for the 10th International Table Grape Symposium at the end of the year. Please contact Mecia Petersen or Tarryn Wettergreen from SATI and the SASEV SA Society for Enology & Viticulture . (SASEV)
Our latest podcast is out and we are busy editing this week's one!
We sat down with Mike Allsopp from the Agricultural Research Council . Mike is currently the only Government employed bee researcher in South Africa and is also the African Chairman of the Worldwide Bee industry. The stories he tells are both remarkable and shocking.
We highly, HIGHLY recommend that you give this one a listen, if you have any interest in Bees and what they face, you have to listen to this, it is fascinating.

The South African Citrus season has kicked off and is rapidly gaining momentum. Last year this time (how quickly the time has flown!), we were busy making arrangements to perform livestream inspections, on behalf of Citrus Growers Association of Southern Africa for Chinese market access from Locations in Limpopo and the North West Province.
Yes, Covid has come and gone, but the tech shift that happened in 2020 is here to stay. We really believe that these livestream applications that we do have a firm place in the Agri sector. Not just for inspections, but to get information out there to the masses. Imagine you can reach 4 times the audience than you would have by just an in-person event.
The attendees can all have their managers or foremen in the boardroom and tune in to get all the info as if they were there, and it's INTERACTIVE! So if you are interested in this, please reach out and let us set this up, currently, there is no one that can do this like we are doing it.
This year is also the very time in the history of the Agri Wes-Kaap | Agri Western Cape Young Farmer of the Year competition that there will be prizes up for grabs for the winner. Lucentlands Media is sponsoring one of the prizes and we are sponsoring the production of a marketing video for the winner. The closing date for this prestigious event is the 28th of April, so if you are a farmer of 40 years and younger, ENTER NOW!
Here is a concept image that I made after one of the recent SAPO Trust field days. This is a new Granny Smith mutation called the Parys Granny Smith which is greener than the usual Granny Smith Apple. For those who love the Granny Smith sour crunch, trust us, this apple is one for the books, and it sure makes a stunning photo!
I played around with this, and this is purely our concept, it was not commissioned by anyone. We changed up the font a tad and we labeled it: The same, but different. Please let us know what you think of this creative idea.
Our studio was purposely built for product images and the main focus was wine bottle packshots, but we can photograph and film any product here.
Here are some of Dewald's bottle shots that were created in our studio.
That is it for this week! Please subscribe to the podcast and the newsletter so that you can stay updated with everything that we are doing.
