More Fun Than Filling Out a Census

This weekend I'm filling out our mandatory Canadian long-form census ...

Fun!

A whole bunch of people were upset when our last government got rid of it, and there were celebrations when the new government brought it back.

(Yes, we Canadians are strange - celebrating a census?!)

I'm grumbling as I fill this thing out, but it got me thinking about the importance of tracking numbers ...

Especially for coaches.

If you don't know the important metrics that you should be tracking, how will you know if you're going in the right direction?

I follow numbers closely with every one of my 1:1 clients. The ones that we track vary depending on the coach and his/her business, but it's the first thing that we do on every one of our calls.

I want to know where my clients are at ... how their week went ... where they're succeeding, and what needs improvement.

It's all about knowing those numbers, and providing accountability.
