More Creepy Fun With ChatGPT

It's ALL About Attention: getting it, keeping it, and turning it into action. I can show you how using my 30+ years direct response copywriting & 25 years email and content marketing success
OK, I know the picture above is a bit creepy…
(Is it me, or does the guy on the left look a little bit like Nigel Farage?)
I wanted to share it with you because it was actually created with Dall-E2 - another AI tool developed using the open.ai platform.
Like ChatGPT (C-GPT) it takes a bit of getting used to and it definitely requires a lot of trial and error to generate images that don’t trigger nightmares.
Anyway…?
Following on from my email last week about using C-GPT to schedule your email content for the next few months,
I thought we could take a deeper dive into putting together your first email.
First, decide on which topic you need to create an email about.?
Then work out what content that email is going to deliver to the reader.?
What it is that you can share with the reader that is relevant, useful and interesting to them??
It doesn’t have to be just one piece of information.?
It is more likely that you will have two or three pieces of information that connect with each other.
For example – let’s imagine that you are a recycling company and your emails are about helping businesses become more eco-friendly.?
For your first email, you want to share a new study into the level of waste produced by the average small business in the UK.?
And you have your own insight into why small businesses don’t recognise their environmental impact.?
Together, these two bits of content will work together to communicate a message to your reader that is enlightening, useful and relevant.?
It might also be that you have a piece of information that needs to be backed up with evidence and proof.?
For example, let’s say that you are a naturopath and your regular free content emails are about health and wellbeing.?
Let's say you want to share your recipe for a herbal tea using foraged plants that help people relax and sleep better.?
In this case, perhaps you could add the results of a couple of scientific research studies that back up this herbal ingredient as a remedy. And perhaps you could share some statistics about how many people suffer from insomnia and anxiety in the UK.?
If you are an expert in your field with lots of knowledge and information to hand, then you could carry out this step without needing the AI. In which case, simply gather your own thoughts, insights and research, then tell the AI to outline an email for you (see the next step below). ?
However, it might be that you don’t have any information at your end right now.?
You might know nothing about the topic.?
Or maybe you lack confidence in your knowledge.?
Or it could simply be that you would like more information to add to what you know already.?
But that’s okay - you have C-GPT!?
Just ask your AI friend to become your research assistant and find out all the extra information you could possibly need.?
For example:?
“You are my research assistant for my email newsletter. Please find me information about how to use online design tools to create a professional-looking cover for a Kindle ebook, including Canva and Adobe Spark.”
The AI will respond with some ideas:
领英推荐
Canva:
[Rather than waste space in this article, I won’t reproduce all of C-GPT’s responses, but enough to give you an idea of what it is capable of. You can have fun yourself in your own niche.]
Adobe Spark:
Both Canva and Adobe Spark offer user-friendly interfaces and a range of design elements that can help you create a professional-looking cover for your Kindle ebook. Make sure to choose images and fonts that fit with your ebook's content and etc etc.
Remember, when C-GPT is your research assistant, you can guide it to find whatever you ask it.
So consider asking it to include quotes, case studies, results, and statistics.
Here is another example.
“You are the research assistant for my email newsletter. Please find me information about the benefits of yoga, including any relevant research studies, case studies and statistics.”
The AI would come up with the following:
Statistics:
Case Studies:
You could ask it to find UK-based statistics, or if you felt it needed more, you can also ask it for specific kinds of info.?
For instance, in the example above, you might ask it:?
“Are there any relevant quotes from experts that I could add?”
Hey presto, you’ll get the following…
Namaste! ;-)
With the help of C-GPT, you will easily collect enough useful and relevant information for your email.?
Most likely, you will have enough for a few emails so don’t feel you need to cram everything into one.?
Better to give more useful, practical advice on one narrow topic than to be too general.?
Remember you are developing a long-term, ongoing relationship with your readers so you have time to cover lots and lots of topics over the months and even years.?
So go try some of these prompts today and see what you come up with I’ll be back next time with how to get C-GPT to create a detailed outline for your email.?
Until then…
Best regards
Nick
