Issue 76: More To Come Unfortunately
ere are thirty or so individuals that didn’t plan to leave Microsoft. There are lots of people (like me years ago) that think of LinkedIn as a job search site (or realize that it’s more than that but weren’t planning to leave).
There are a lot of opportunities for people with experience working with Microsoft. A huge partner community means lots of other employers and possibly good benefits (Microsoft’s were GREAT).
So many to highlight so let’s get started.
Deshawn J. popped up and was the last post I screenshot this evening. Two connections in common.
Tom Gariti and I never met, weren’t following each other and don’t have others in our network in common.
Jessica "Jex" Ballard is #OpenToWork and 2nd degree through one shared connection!
Christine Lapera Raso is also looking and 2nd degree with one mutual connection.
Priyank Kapadia is another 3rd degree connection.
Ben Smoot is a 3rd degree connection and this shows you a simple search for Microsoft layoff turned up way more results than just these.
Lauren Szymanski is 3rd degree from me and lists Bethesda Softworks as her employer.
PJ Forgione doesn’t post much on LinkedIn. Open To Work posts get a lot of views and I found turning them off (even for a day) and back on again periodically can jolt your network and others back into views and comments/reshares.
Neky Romero is unique. One connection in common and open to opportunities!
Trenton Robinson isn’t unique on LinkedIn. Found the right one by adding games after first + last name!
Anjali Mann is the wife of Anmol R. - great idea to amplify the other post!!! Following you both..
Karim Zaher - keywords showed me this post from someone layoffs from Amazon.
Harsha S doesn’t show me how many connections we have in common (privacy?)
Katie Pinney found out Wednesday. I’m sure the second day is worse than the first, but the second day in the healing process. 14 mutual connections.
Anh C. is 2nd to me (four connections in common)

Shayna Moon is a third degree connection.
Maria Howie is looking for her #NextPlay as they say at LinkedIn.
Meng-Ping Lee has two connections in common, so I've got thousands of others to share her profile with - this is the real power of LinkedIn (check out the number of reactions to these posts as well!)
Second to me Cory Garner, MBA, PHR (9 connections in common) and he has a network of over 10 thousand connections!
Jon Jung just posted his #OpenToWork as well. Seventeen connections in common.
Jessie Lipe has 49 connections with me (probably up there if not the most in this post/article!)
Drishti Wali all for 1 connection in common (so 2nd degree instead of 3rd!)
Connor Mclemore is another 2nd degree.
Kristi Kennebrew haven't met, but willing to help in any way I can (3,500 subscribers to this newsletter).
Ken Smith (only four listed when I added Microsoft after his name!)
Jill Morrissey Phoenix another person who posted - anyone who hasn't been through this, I feel for you, but know that there are thousands of us willing to come together and help!
John Emrick another 2nd degree connection (I checked and about a third of my connections are from Microsoft - this quarter the percentage may change unfortanately!)
Jemma Ellis is not only impacted, but status in the US (having moved here 5 months ago)
An-Tim Nguyen only has 1 connection in common with me, but same outpouring as many others. Eventually (around 50 people), you can't tag any more people. Wanted to keep this under 30 or so.
George T. is a 1st degree connection (not many of these on my list of about 30 I discovered just last night!) and has encouraging words. I saw literally thousands of these posts. Great offer to help.
Gil S. offering help!
Lots of people to showcase - here's the next 36 (I think I can post their names in the article post - we will see!)
