Proud to add my additional certification to Cloudiogram that will show our continued commitment to our customers to deliver complex technologies in easy consumption models.

Although I lean more into sales and business discussions, I needed a bit of deep technical dive to understand what such technologies can bring for businesses. I learned a lot and here are some interesting key takeaways to share with you.

Automation is key

  • Automation is key. Automation by code not only applies to networking and HW virtualization. You can drive all by code, including operations, processes, identity and access management, security, building infrastructure during run-time and compliance.
  • Don’t rely on manual intervention
  • For example, run batching automated with control of how many done at the same time with gradual changes, roll back if errors, all automated
  • You can automate compliance with code and using ready-made open-source code for almost all standards

Big Data

  • Simple Storage Services (S3) can be used as centralized data lake
  • Decoupling big data form compute
  • S3 host data once, no copying, no transfers
  • Indexing metadata grows flexibly and independently
  • Compute, then, will be used and grows as needed
  • This is more promising compared to Hadoop where data and compute are coupled in nodes of clusters that keep growing together

"Low Code" is strategic for every business, every organization

  • How many of us have seen large organizations run on Excel sheets for years? Ever wondered why? It is simple with clear logic directly connected to business logic. All teams understand it.
  • On the other hand, complex business applications (ERP, CRM, workflow, etc.), though promising, will come with huge complexities, long adoption journeys and continuous challenges
  • Low code easily fills in the gap between both sides. Simply, start with logic diagrams directly connected to business logic. Then, diagram blocks can read sheets, connect to systems, inform teams, trigger actions, updated other sheets or systems
  • Connected to business logic (directly) and understood by business people
  • Start with quick wins that you see results immediately, then move on and add other flows. You don't hve to do it all in one big bite
  • People are the priority! They will love it. Although flows will be automated, they are made to accommodate manual people work! Yes, we love our manual interference! For example, it is possible for an automated process to wait one (1) year for a user's manual approval!?So, again make technology work for people not the other way round!!!

Align your technology approach to your overall business goals, not the other way round.
