To be more calm and successful focus on 10 things to improve patience.

I must confess, patience was never my forte until I made it a priority.

I have worked incredibly hard to become more patient and I still catch myself being overly eager.

I am incredibly driven, and my drive ignites excitement every day that can be difficult to contain.?When you operate at such high velocity, it’s hard to slow down sometimes.?It’s also challenging to be patient.

However, practicing patience is a virtue that reaps remarkable dividends.

Patience requires we stop and accept delay, trouble or suffering without getting angry.?Easier said than done sometimes.

Patience requires we exercise self-control.?Patience also prevents plenty of problems in relationships that can be avoided if we "pause" before we react.

Patience also provides perspective when confronting obstacles that are often exacerbated by our inability to see the big picture, alternative solutions or innovate.

Patience is also critically important in our personal definition of success.

Without patience we establish unrealistic expectations, especially about professional success.

Building successful businesses and careers takes time.?There’s no easy way around it.

Many people surrender prematurely because they lack the patience to endure the long-term struggle associated with being a successful entrepreneur.

But there's some things we can do to improve our ability to cultivate patience and gain better perspective on the process of becoming more successful.
