More business expressions with a "summer flavour"!

This is the third in my series of newsletters dedicated to business English expressions which have a "summer flavour"!

Today we'll look at two business expressions related to the level of tension. One about getting tense and the other about removing tension!

(The photos are taken at different places around Mallorca and the intention is only educative and in no way are they meant to make you jealous ??)

Expression 1:

To Get Heated ??: When things get intense and emotions run high! ??

Example 1: In today's brainstorming session, our team got heated discussing the new marketing strategy. But you know what they say, a little passion can fuel brilliant ideas! ????

Example 2: During the client negotiations, opinions clashed, and things got a bit heated. Luckily, we managed to find common ground and struck a deal that left everyone satisfied. Phew! ????

Expression 2.

To Cool Off ??: Finding your zen and regaining perspective! ???? ♀?

Example 1: Sometimes, in the hustle and bustle of deadlines, we all need a moment to cool off. Taking a stroll in the office garden during lunch helped me to disconnect and calm down a little ??????

Example 2: After a long and intense quarterly review meeting, tensions were high. But our manager had the brilliant idea to cool off by going for a drink after work.

So, next time you find yourself getting heated, take a moment to cool off and bring the sunny side back to your workplace! ????

Thanks Chris for the Business Expressions but I can't avoid being jealous about the photos...
