Are morals outdated?

This is my boy a few years ago, Elias his name.

We even had Cristiano Ronaldo’s haircut back then. I won’t talk about football, but I will talk about principles, gratitude and values. I wanted to raise my kids with values, I was for years part of the corporate world and politics and I know in my bones about what corruption is and how you can achieve things with your “value”.

It was the reason that I left that part of my life, because when I realized that I was part of it that made me feel sick with myself. Yes, financially it was a damage for me, but I chose my soul over money. I won’t go into depth about that it is a big chapter probably would need an interview for that subject.?

What message do we want as a society to send to the younger generations? This world cup taught us so far a few things. That when you get older 37 in Ronaldo’s case you have no use anymore. “We don’t need you”. It reminds me of the veterans that it was their fault for their countries and now many of them are homeless!!! What’s happening in this world??

We have become so consumed and self-absorbed that we are too blind to see that we are destroying our kid’s future. Raising up teaching them what? That if you don’t have money you mean nothing. That you must become rich no matter what, no matter who you will hurt but it a ok because you will sleep in your 15 rooms of mansion? That after a certain age you are done? That if you are not part of the corrupted system you mean nothing? That if you choose kindness then you are a fool??

Yesterday after watching England and the reason that I am disabling the comments on this article it is because it is too personal for me. I have been living corruption since I was born and I am sick of it., My dad was getting sacked from jobs because of his political beliefs, Yes, he was a lefty and I will never forget my mom crying because we didn’t have food on the table. What have I learned then at the age of 5? That we should obey and be part of the corrupted system in order for us to have food and if you stand up for yourself then you get penalized.

Well I admit it I played that role for a few years but the real me came up when I looked up to God and I felt ashamed of myself when I remebered ,my parents sad face and crying. No, I couldn’t be part of it anymore even that decision made me poorer.?

Watching with my son England game and talking about the FIFA World Cup2022, I was ashamed for the young people. Elias my son said to me “Mom. This society is not doing well. Corruption everywhere, no matter what good you do people will judge and slaughter you referring to the media approach towards Ronaldo”?

What I told Elias was that like Jesus, people will judge you no matter how good person you are, they will throw stones on you but the most important thing is to be able to see yourself in the mirror and feel proud. That was my lesson that my Dad taught me and I have no regrets.?

Someone said in one of the comments in a post I uploaded for CR7 that “he is a star fading away” that’s how we treat our legends? Stars that they are fading away? HE and many others like Maradona, Pele, Nelson Mandela are role models for our kids. They will NEVER fade away! They are the reasons that I am defending kindness and values today. I grew up with their achievements. It is a tough road if you want to be a good person, a good Christian, a good Buddhist, a good Muslim whatever you believe but it worth it.

It makes me mad how we treat people. No, you should remember what a person offered to you to the team no matter if they lost a penalty or didn’t score goal but on the contrary, you should condemn and speak out loud about corruption. You cannot have people starving and not be able to afford heating when it is -3 but MPs or other politicians are acting as they are blind to see the reality!

Don’t be blind. I was blind once, but you cannot be blind forever then you become a co-operator.?
