Moral Courage and Proof of It

Moral Courage and Proof of It

What is moral courage? Is it linked to being brutally honest just to use that as an excuse to engage in character assassination? Can one claim he has moral courage just like if one says he is the Moral Authority? How does one prove he has is when he says that? Or is it enough just because he says so?

Moral courage involves?the willingness to speak out and do what is right in the face of forces that would lead us to act in some other way . Today we are looking at examples of such in our case.

Morally courageous individuals?act upon their ethical values to help others during difficult ethical dilemmas, despite the adversity they may face in doing so .

However, it's important to note that moral courage is normally confused with self-righteousness, ie "holier-than-thou attitude" which is totally different: "Self-righteous individuals are often intolerant of the opinions and behaviors of others."

I reposted Dr Debbie Garratt post with quotes from people above as that Moral Authority sought by WEF , although, of course, I was being sarcastic. Sarcasm has been well researched but not outlawed yet. North Korea has tried without much success . Michael Callan, the former Australian public servant and the CEO of the Australian Fraud and Anti-corruption Academy did not like those quotes so much he stayed on my post for days, leaving all sorts of comments. Obviously the individuals in the picture are in need of protection against anyone quoting them without some written permission.

Mr. Callan demanded that I provide links for the quotes. I thought fraud fighters could google, but apparently it is not the case. These are the links I found after two minutes:

Fauci: "When people are vaccinated, they are not going to get infected" https://thehill.com/homenews/sunday-talk-shows/553773-fauci-vaccinated-people-become-dead-ends-for-the-coronavirus/

Biden "You are not going to get covid if you have these vaccinations." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdcYONCNpUE

Rochelle Walensky: "Vaccinated people don't carry the virus..." https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-walensky-clips/fact-check-merged-clips-of-cdc-director-rochelle-walensky-discussing-vaccine-protection-from-severe-covid-19-are-missing-context-idUSL1N2PX1IZ

Rachel Maddow: "Now we know that the vaccines work well enough that the virus stops with every vaccinated..."?

https://www.foxnews.com/media/social-media-users-demand-apology-msnbc-rachel-maddow-vaccines

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/the-covid-vaccines-arent-working-the-way-we-were-told-they-would

Bill Gates: "Everyone who takes the vaccine is reducing their transmission." https://eu.statesman.com/story/news/politics/politifact/2021/11/20/fact-check-did-bill-gates-say-covid-19-vaccines-do-not-work-well/8667132002/

Albert Bourla: ""There is no variant that escapes the protection of our vaccines."

Michael Callan left tens of messages in my post, and he is the only one doing that, so it made me think that maybe, just like in Russia, public servants and law enforcement never retire, they always serve the powers that be, hence these are the issues that Mr. Callan has brought up:

  • the above links are rubbish just because Michael Callan says so and he has the moral courage according to his statement
  • I asked him to provide an example of links that are not rubbish, but he hasn't done that
  • Michael Callan claims the above links are out of the context. I asked him which ones exactly lack the context. He hasn't pointed out any.

After some veiled threats and personal attacks he went away, but then he came back and said: "You are not what you claim you are." Apparently, he learned suddenly how to google and tried to dig up dirt on me, but again, he failed to provide links where I claim I am someone else.

I see Mr. Callan can't stop, I ran out of space in my post, so to help him vent his moral courage, I created this article, so he could blithely continue attacking me not in my post, but right in this article. Fraud fighters need more space because of the size of their moral courage. But to his credit he gave me his consent to talk about this exchange. Well, that's definitely courage or is it arrogance? Hence I wrote this article to spare Dr. Garratt from attacks of Mr. Callan. Now he can do this safely in my article. I am not afraid of bullies or trolls.

Back to moral courage, Mr Callan says in his message he is intellectually, ethically and morally superior to me. When asked to provide links to back up his intellectually superiority, he disappeared. Can the CEO lead his Academy without any work, research published, speaking at international conferences etc.? This is intellectual bankruptcy. He is morally bankrupt to make such statements.

The pandemic has caused a major divide in our societies, but it has brought closer democratic, autocratic like Russia and totalitarian regimes like China together. Their public servants claim they have moral courage to attack citizens over quotes their masters make. Putin said he was the world's only true democrat and for him "There is no one to talk to since Mahatma Gandhi died." Dictators claim to have that moral courage and moral authority. Do we have the moral courage to challenge them and others who talk the way they do? Or we are expected to cower before bullies regardless of their status? This doesn't bode well for our civilization and maybe the human race.

The first quote does not appear in the article you cited. In fact, it is in none of transcripts of the CBS Face the Nation interviews he has ever done. And the article you shared about Rochelle Walensky (but apparently did not expect anyone to read), does not support the claim that you are making. In fact, it debunks this rhetoric.

This truth is refreshing to see as we suffered through the lies. But it’s hard to hide from their own words - especially now that we know the vaccine manufacturers never even promised it would stop the spread and they knew that.

?Anatoly Yakorev? you know I have always had a great opinion of your views and hold them to high regards. “Moral Courage” is not difficult to agree to, seems like a universal value we should all aspire for. The challenge though, when applied is bridging individual values & differences. From recent world events, there is a clear need to be more diverse and inclusively minded. Take for instance corruption, without a broader framework, we will continue to view the act of Bribery & Corruption in terms of "Cops Vs Robbers": this simplistic dichotomy limits our cognitive ability to comprehend & associate with differences.

There are many definitions of moral courage so I don't claim I got them all. Work in progress.
