- German packaging manufacturer Papier-Mettler is investing $48 million in a plant in Moorefield, West Virginia, and expects to create 100 jobs. - GlobiTech will establish an additional manufacturing facility in Sherman, Texas.GlobiTech provides silicon epitaxy products and services to the worldwide semiconductor industry and it plans to build a $5 billion factory in Texas. ?A Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant of $15 million has been extended to GlobiTech. In addition, GlobiTech has been offered a $10,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus. - Intel indefinitely delays Ohio chip factory groundbreaking over government subsidy gridlock: the company said that it still plans to build the chip factory, but the scope of its investment will be dependent on government support. Intel said that the delay was due in part to uncertainty around chips-related legislation, in particular, the Bipartisan Innovation Act and the CHIPS Act. Both the US Senate and House have passed versions of the act that would provide $52 billion in funding for semiconductor companies, including Intel. - NXP said it could invest nearly $2.7 billion in its facility at 3501 and 3949 Ed Bluestein Blvd in Austin, Texas, and plans to construct a four-story semiconductor wafer fabrication building. - TSMC to invest $120 billion In semiconductor expansion: TSMC has been the world’s largest contract chip manufacturer for several years and its dominance may remain unchallenged for years to come. The Taiwanese giant recently completed the construction of four new chip fabrication facilities in the Southern Taiwan Science Park to expand its manufacturing capacity. - Foxconn plans investment in semiconductor, and consumer electronics in Maharashtra India According to the government of Maharashtra, the state secured more than ?6 lakh or $7,606.55 USD crore worth of investments and has also allocated industrial land, infrastructure, and facilities to more than 80% of these investors in record time.
