MoonshotJr - 2020 at a Glance

Dear friends and MoonshotJr well-wishers, 

If I had to describe this year in a single word, I would say that it has been 'eventful'. This year will be remembered in history due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the shock waves it sent through the global economy, but 2020 will also be remembered as the year that tested human resilience. This seems like a turning point in history. Almost overnight businesses transformed, the nature in which work was executed changed, collaboration improved, digitization was embraced at a pace like never seen before, and companies that were truly agile responded well. We decided to turn this challenge into an opportunity.

Our story in the face of these challenges has been extremely inspiring. Looking back at the year, I am extremely proud of all that has been accomplished in a single year and am deeply grateful to everyone that has been part of our success story. It would be impossible to list all the small wins we have achieved in the year and so I would like to highlight some of the important ones.

• Our Innovator Program is in demand and has been appreciated globally. We are proud to announce that we have customers in 13 countries (including B2C & B2B2C).
• We are revolutionizing the EdTech space with gamification (Moonpreneur, https://1e.fnd.to/moonshot) and hands-on learning (launched several learning kits, i.e. https://lnkd.in/g_C-7FB, https://tinyurl.com/yyx48ghm).
• We have produced several young entrepreneurs, who are selling their products via Amazon, eBay, Kickstarter, various app stores, etc.
• We have managed to raise over $600,000 and on target to close the current round shortly (Q1, 2021).
• Our first-year revenues are $200K+ with 50% MoM growth and we're on target to achieve 2500+ customers (students) and $2.5M+ in revenues in 2021.
• Our Innovation Team has created several unique tech products and we have three pending patent applications and many more in the work.
• Several members on our CAP Table/Advisory board, who have built companies north of $100M+ (including; https://tinyurl.com/yxwypehb, https://tinyurl.com/y66zq372, https://tinyurl.com/y3gn6mvv etc.). 
• In a single calendar year, we have grown to 35 full-time employees globally. We are proud to say that we did not cut staff during the pandemic but recruited and are still actively recruiting globally.
• We have joined hands with TYE (part of TiE.org) to complement their mission of fostering entrepreneurship in young minds.

Since we're in our infancy, the best years for Moonshot Jr is yet to come. This belief is based on the momentum we have generated as a team in the past year and the fact that we are driven by our mission and core values to democratize outcome-focused education for children across the globe. We wish to prepare them for a future led by innovation and entrepreneurship. 

I would like to end this post by thanking each and every one of you that has directly or indirectly contributed to our success. Moonshot Jr has truly become bigger than the sum of all of us. This is all because of the dedication, hard work, support that we have received from our students, their parents, partners, advisors, investors, and of course our employees. Looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
