Montreal Startup Week 2018 — An amazing festival of innovation & entrepreneurship not to be missed!

We are super excited because finally, that special time of the year where all the innovation & startup ecosystem come together in a single place to learn, share, and business, has arrived.

Exactly, we are talking about Startupfest which on this occasion is bigger, with a new crazy site, amazing (and diverse!) speakers, and has many more surprises than ever. And because we really don’t want you to miss this opportunity, we decided to extend the date to close the sale of tickets at 150 CAD instead of 749 CAD to make sure everyone who should be there, can be there! Impact Startups w/ MTLNewTech & Quartier de I’innovation | July 11–14, 2018

Our participation during #startupfest2018 is a very special one. For starters, we are sharing the tent with Quartier de l’innovation. Then, we will have awesome neighbours tents: Montreal International and Element AI, and just a few steps more the tent of the Media. All that with a beautiful sight to our beloved city. Still, what makes even more special are the great things we have prepared for you.

1. This year we count with great collaborators: Aligo Innovation and Univalor. Both organizations have provided us with a list of sexy technologies ready and available technologies developed by the researchers of the local universities. Come and visit our tent, we will have a big wall where you will have the chance to pick one technology and pitch us the business idea that you could develop with it. By doing so, you will run the chance to win a 500 CAD prize and some personalized coaching and more. Isn’t that cool?
2. “How is my startup positively impacting society?” come and answer this question in our both for a pitch competition. We will film you while you answer this and then we will post is in our social media and will have the public voting for the best pitch. The prizes? — 500$ in cash — The production of a promotional video for your startup which will be broadcasted on the Quartier de l’Innovation’s website for our “Startup of the Month”. You can use it to promote your business. — This video will be promoted on Quartier de l’Innovation and MTL NewTech’s networks. — 1 ticket for StartupFest 2019–2h of coaching from MTL NewTech — Access to the pitch round “startup of impact” at the Coopérathon 2018 ***OVERALL VALUE: ~$5000***
3. And of course a public “coup de coeur” for one of them both!! :)

The Grandiose Finale of a great startup tour presented by our friends of Fundica!! 500K of Panache Ventures to be taken home, and 10 fantastic startups presenting!! Fundica & R&D Partners do an amazing job organizing it with stellar startups, amazingly helpful partners, and usually a good show and fun..and cocktails! ;)

HackerFest 2018–24h hackathon at Startupfest Friday 5PM — Saturday 7PM

HackerFest is a 24-hour, outdoor, multi-topic, innovation marathon for developers, designers, inventors and all-around creators. Hack from a hammock on the Montreal waterfront this summer. It’s a fantastic opportunity to come, explore, learn, share and mingle with like-minded people while challenging yourself in a superb setting!!
