Your Stadium
Are you thinking about the audience at your Stadium?
Your marketplace has a combined audience that are likely to need different tactics, with different messages, to pull them towards you and buy.
I love to use the ‘Stadium’ analogy when fueling ideas for a clients marketing strategy or sparking thoughts for a specific campaign.
Let me share this with you.
Those in your stadium, they love you. They have paid to be with you and are listening to every word. They would buy the majority of what you offer, they cheer for you.
There are a few just outside the stadium. They are ready to buy but are those that just missed the last offer, deadline, or simply didn’t commit to buy at the time they were last offered to join you.
There are also those that were in the stadium, but left before the last moments, as they’ve been before, brought a few times and slipping away.
On one side of the stadium is an audience that have heard of you, they are aware of your words, but at this stage have not yet brought from you. They have not yet been motivated enough to buy or given a reason to lean in closer at this time.
On the other side of the stadium are those that have never heard of you. Amongst them there are a percentage that would buy. They may have heard your messages on their peripheral, but they didn’t connect it was you. In reality, at this point, to them you are the ‘best kept secret’.
Can you relate to these different parts of your current and potential audience?
Does your marketing strategy approach them or speak to them all in some way?
This analogy mirrors the customer journey from awareness to consideration to purchase before moving to loyalty and advocacy. There are £’s on the table in each part of your audience, you just have to find your way of creating the right level of relationship at each stage.?

First he scored it a 4 but then just a 2, but Why?
When I started working with a new client, I asked him to score how much he understood about running his small business. He scored himself a 4/10.
Three months later, I’ve asked him the same question, ‘how much he understood about running his small business‘, and this time his score was now 2/10!
During the further conversation he acknowledged that he knew little about running a business, but was technically sound, hence the initial score of just four. However, he has now realised that there is much more to know about running an effective business than what he initially thought.
Business is simple, but it is not easy! If it was, everyone would be doing it and everyone would be successful.

You don’t wake up an Olympian!
It’s easy to procrastinate about something new. We can find it tough to make the time to start something new. We will often make an excuse for doing something.
There is also the fear of change and move away from our comfort zone.
BUT IF you want it enough….. you have to get started.
The Gold Medalists at the Paris 2024 Olympics did not just turn up, try it out and take home the medal.
However, they started somewhere.
They found a way to be one of the best, overcame some challenges and ultimately became dedicated to commitment, repetition, and execution of their technique or skill.
How will you become the equivalent of an Olympian in your sector?
