Monthly Recap: July 2020

Monthly Recap: July 2020

Hi Linkedin Fam! I hope you all are still hanging in there and doing well during these tough times. Not only are we STILL fighting a national pandemic (COVID19) , we are also finally coming together as a nation to fight racial injustice and systematic oppression. As you know, last month I decided that I would start doing a monthly recap to keep me focused and aligned with my goals. Self reflection has been a game changer for me both personally & professionally.

With that said, let's take a look back at July!

1. My business consulting firm 3MC Business Solutions launched yet another digital product on 3mcsolutions.net , and both the job search strategy ebook & business plan template have now helped over 600 individuals either start their business plan or begin their job search journey. Last month this number was just 200 so we have increased our customer base by 33% organically.

2. I spent some time helping a close friend of mine create her first B2B pitch deck. Her non-profit is doing some AMAZING things to help black & brown women have equal access to opportunities & resources, so I was super excited to be apart of that process with her.

3. I was asked to sit on a non-profit board for a non-profit that I absolutely adore, their mission really resonates with me so I accepted without hesitation. They are still in the process of obtaining their 501c-3, so I will refrain from announcing the organization until then.

4. I participated in A.Bevy 's Inaugural Passion Expo, and gave a talk on 'The Desire for More'. This topic is something I am very passionate about, as that very desire is what continues to drive me!

5. I became a member of The Gathering Spot earlier this month, and the programming has been absolutely AMAZING. My favorite event so far was the conversation focusing on black women + mental health and debunking the superwoman notion! hosted by Silence The Shame ! #bipoc

6. Celebrated a close friend for her bachelorette weekend + Bridal shower. We were able to plan a COVID friendly weekend in Charleston, SC with activities like indoor paint & sip, brunch parties, and a private chef dinner party; and she had a great time. She is getting married in September, and I absolutely can not wait to stand by her side on her special day.

7. I started meditating 2-3x a week, and it has been a complete game changer for me. Prior to now I had always assumed that meditating and praying was synonymous but I was so wrong about that. A friend of mines introduced me to meditating, so I did the self work to explore it further and have not looked back.

8. I finally purchased hootsuite and implemented it into my workflow to automate my social media posts for consistent engagement, yet another game changer.

July was not as busy as June, but it was definitely a productive and fun month for me. I challenge you to recap your month, and self reflect on all of the things you've accomplished or done to make you smile.
