I am very sad to know that about fifty thousand engineers with BS degrees, a large number with B.Sc. degrees and a large number of technicians, backbone of a country, are jobless in Pakistan and living under poverty line. For earning the bachelor degrees and diplomas, all these jobless should be given a monthly honorarium of Rs. 75,000.00 and Rs. 100,000.00, having diploma and degrees, respectively, until they are not offered regular jobs. These are very sharp and brilliant people. Once they will have some money to survive, in a short time, many of them will not only be able to generate their own innovative sources of income but will also be able to generate jobs for the many others.
May I advise to all, please, be very careful while choosing a BS/B.Sc., MS or PhD degree. The traditional engineering and other programs in the country are not at the level to prepare students for the current and future job market. Therefore, please do not select a program which is currently popular in every university of Pakistan.
