I give up!?

We've all thought this. Most of us have done it at one time or another.

The task may have been small and frustrating like trying to thread a needle. It may have been significant and discouraging like months of job searching.

The Pirovolakis family had a much bigger mountain in front of them. Their baby boy, Michael, had a rare, incurable and debilitating disease - like only 80 people in the world rare. His quality of life would be very poor. His life expectancy was short.

Terry (dad) was woefully unqualified for the task at hand, but that is what makes this story so remarkable and inspiring. He did not give up. He change the world instead.?

P.S. This story strikes a real chord with me. I want to thank my friend, Craig, for sharing. It recalls the despair I felt in the early days of Simon's Heart. It reminds me of hearing Jim Valvano tell us all - "Don't give up. Don't ever give up."?
