Monthly Dose of Dusk #48
Dear Dusketeers,?
January is usually one of the least exciting months of the year, but not for Dusk. We finally had the chance to share the groundbreaking work of the Dusk research team; Citadel. This research opens the door for self-sovereign identity technology and cost-effective, decentralized KYC/AML solutions where the user has control of their data while being compliant with regulation.?
Submitting the paper was a significant milestone for Dusk, as it represents another real-world use case for the technology we are developing. I would even go so far as to say that this is the first practical application of NFT technology. It was great to see everyone's positive reactions and recognition of the team's work, as well as discussions about implementation and future use cases. The KYC/AML use case is just the tip of the iceberg.?
In the coming month, we will provide more detailed information about Citadel, while the team continues to work on the preparations for phase II of the Incentivized Testnet. Last week, we successfully completed the reward distribution of the first ITN phase, shared some insights on the results, and are very pleased with the outcome. It can only get better from here!?
Have a great month!?
Best,?

Citadel, how does it work?
Citadel is a zero-knowledge proof solution where users and institutions have full control over their personal or sensitive information. Here we explore how it works from the technical perspective, describing the main points of the protocol for the sake of completeness.
Release Cycle Update #15
