Summer 2023 arrangements
As a reminder, the Department for Education (DfE) and Ofqual have announced that "GCSE, AS, and A level exams in England will largely return to pre-pandemic arrangements next summer."

Cambridge Nationals and Cambridge Technicals assessments during 2022/23
Following the?announcement?on 29 September from the DfE and Ofqual, we can confirm we'll be returning to pre-pandemic arrangements for all assessments taking place during 2022/23.
There will be no further adaptations in place.
This means that the following arrangements?will?not?be available?for assessments taking place in?2022/23:?

Cambridge Nationals 2021/22 reduction in assessment
If you have candidates?certificating in?November 2022, your exams officer must tell us if you're requesting a reduction in assessment for moderated Cambridge Nationals units that were planned to be assessed in 2021/22.

The ‘reduction in assessment’ area of?Interchange?is available?until?18 November 2022.
Update on proposed defunding of Level 3 16–19 qualifications
The DfE?published a list of qualifications that overlap with wave 1 and wave 2 T-Levels?on 11 May 2022.
The vast majority of our Cambridge Technicals (2016) Level 3 qualifications did not overlap with T-Levels and will continue to be funded until our redeveloped qualifications are launched.
We appealed against the defunding of 7 Cambridge Technicals qualifications, and we're delighted to let you know?5 of those appeals were successful. Here are the appeal results:
?Qualifications that were?unsuccessful will no longer attract funding from July 2024.?Any qualifications in either of the subjects not listed above were not considered for defunding and will continue to be funded.

Funding for Level 2 Cambridge Technicals confirmed until 2026
The DfE has published its response to the?consultation on post-16 qualifications?at Level 2 and below. They have confirmed that all Cambridge Technicals qualifications at Level 2 will continue to be funded until a new provision is introduced. Read the full story in our?subject update.
