This month in PLAYspective: only fun and games!
May, the month of math and M3 Game Jam
This year, May, the Month of Mathematics (M3) events combines mathematics and - gaming. Center for the Promotion of Science, Nordeus Foundation and Playstudios Europe are organizing an M3 Game Jam in Dor?ol Platz, from Friday the 27th until the 29th of May.
This is a great opportunity for students and young people from Serbia that are interested in game development to go through the entire creative process, connect with the professional gaming community, gain practical experience, and start or enrich their portfolio.?
In addition to all the accompanying content during the M3 gaming weekend, the Game Jam itself will be open to the public. The audience will have the opportunity to observe the creative process and on Sunday, May 29, to attend the presentation of all the games made and to choose the best titles.
Gaming weekend will also include a game fair of Serbian indie gaming studios to present their games to the general public; exhibition of interactive art works by high school students from art schools in Belgrade, and an exhibition of retro gaming consoles.
#SkrozKe?ual - "That will only take 5 minutes" and other art stereotypes
Ivan ?irovi??is an artist with almost 10 years of experience in the gaming industry. He is also experienced in game design and narrative, and now he is working as a Concept Artist. He has worked on the games Spellsouls, Heroic-Magic Duel, Top Eleven, Pop! Slots. If you run out of work-related questions for him (which we sincerely doubt - ask him something about archery, elves or music ?).
Ivana Radovic?has over 3 years of experience and currently works as a 2D Artist. She enjoys creating something completely new, so concept art is her favourite part of the job. If you want to chat with her about topics outside of work - LOL is a great conversation starter.
Tamara Delic?is a 2D artist and she works on the game WokaWoka. Her experience in the game art is 8 years long. She has always loved illustration, DIY, crafts, sweets and bicycles.
Everything else you will find about today at 6:30 pm in Prostor in Novi Sad ??
Game, skills, go! - The producers meet up
For the first time, together with the Serbian Games Association we were talking about the crucial role in the gaming industry - the Game Producer! Five professionals shared their personal experiences with us and relentlessly answered all of the questions by all of the attendees. Our star of the meet up was Milan Manestar, who had an amazing talk on the session Producer diaries.

We are proud to support the largest students conference in Serbia!
Our amazing team members Ljubica Ran?i? and Yonny Zohar rocked the stage on Saturday and Sunday with their lectures. Ljubica was talking about all the things (mostly people, actually) that are standing behind successful mobile games, and Yonny took us back to high school with retro games and math behind them.
Thanks?AIESEC in Serbia?for the great conference and for an opportunity to meet young people that are eager to learn and kickstart their careers to the stars ??
Meet our playMAKER
Uro? Ze?evi? is with Playstudios for half a year now. He is a part of the "Platform" team, making sure that our games run smoothly on all the major mobile platforms, equipped with crisp graphics and all the components needed to build and operate a successful mobile game.
He was always good at math and he played games for as long as he can remember, so game development seemed like a natural career choice. Uro? is a part of the gaming industry for several years now, having experience in both AAA console and f2p mobile game development.
For him, the coolest thing about being an engineer is that you'll often be the first one to see a new mechanic/feature/system in action and you'll be able to impact its final form.?
When he is not making games, he likes to play them. For him, games are such a fascinating medium: games mesh graphics, sound, writing, acting, and haptics coming together with user agency, creating some of the most fascinating and compelling stories and digital experiences.?
