A very Happy New Year everyone. Welcome to the January 2025 edition of "Month That Was" (MTW), where I shared key updates and insights from the world of events in January across the world like WEF Davos, Inauguration of American President, CES, GSI results, etc. and news from world of AI, Infosys & Microsoft ecosystem. The newsletter is a carefully curated one to cover a 360-degree view of the ecosystem.
From the last newsletter, I am always trying something new (and continue to do this time too)! In the last edition, I have recorded a 3:50 min. short video to highlight what was covered in the entire sessionm while the details were in main newsletter. This time I created an abridged version and shared it on YouTube (details below). This is the actual recording from the session in which Infosys confidential aspects were edited. CONFLUENCE - The Theme
The theme of the session was "CONFLUENCE". And that word is relevant for those of you in India who are pretty much aware of an event in progress, and even outside. In India, we're celebrating one of the biggest event called as Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, a place in the state of Uttar Pradesh in North India, where three Rivers meet - two of these are visible i.e. Ganga and Yamuna, and there is a third river called Saraswathi, which is supposed to be merging there, but it's not visible. That's the kind of the forces that I see which are playing in our space as well today. Some of these are visible forces, but there are many invisible forces too. These forces are what are coming together in the context of the business that we are in and these aspects were covered in the session.
Month in Pictures
It has been a very active month, right, right from the New Year. There were a mix of things. We were in our personal life taking some time off, getting to spend some time with family and friends, but also there were lot of things which were happening right from the beginning of the month. There were several team get together, our practice offsite, Republic Day- celebrations in India, Sankranti festivities, multiple events, clients' visits and more - these things which happened during this month and I just want to give a glimpse of what had happened through the pictures that I had captured during the month as well.
The core idea here was the this leads us to some action words. When I look at these pictures, each of them represent a action word - Ignite, Empower, Transform, Unleash, Elevate, Innovate, Collaborate, Discover, Overcome, Thrive, Master, Lead, Impact, Achieve, Grow, Excel, Soar, Inspire, Succeed, Contribute! So I just wanted to leave these thoughts there. These words are just action words. Nothing fancy, but the idea there is that each of them have got a play in business of today. And that's the only thing I will leave you with.
A month of events, conferences & Results
I thought as we begin the year, it is important to look at the broader spectrum of things which are happening right across the world. The first pillar was an internal update for Infosys and hence masked. If you're not following some of these things, I would sincerely request that you spend some time to look at some of these events.
