Over the last 50 years, global meat production has more than tripled as demand rises. In 2024, global meat consumption is expected to grow by over 1%, with the largest increases in low- and middle-income countries. As nations grow wealthier, per capita meat consumption tends to increase, as seen in China's rising meat consumption for the last decades.
In the U.S., the meat industry is valued at around $1.3 trillion and has significant energy demands, consuming about 278 trillion BTUs. Waste heat recovery in this industry is crucial for cutting costs, improving efficiency, and reducing environmental impact.

Dairy Facility Cuts Costs and Carbon with Smart Boiler Upgrade
A dairy facility using a 150HP steam boiler wanted to improve efficiency and lower CO2 emissions with minimum costs! The solution? Installing an ENERVEX VHX Economizer and Heat Exchanger to recover waste heat. This simple upgrade improved boiler efficiency from 80% to 88%, reduced fuel needs by 8%, and brought impressive savings!
