SAP Garden: Munich's new sports and entertainment landmark opens
SAP Garden opened in September, representing a significant addition to Munich's landscape of sports and entertainment spaces. We are delighted to see our engineering work including structural, facade, and building services engineering, as well as acoustics for the arena's interior come to fruition.
Buro Happold to design Midfield Satellite Concourse at LAX
Buro Happold was selected by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to plan and design the new Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC) South at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Working alongside Woods Bagot and W.E. O'Neil Construction, Buro Happold's pre-engineered, offsite construction solution creates a beautiful, sustainable, and efficient terminal for passengers and airport operators alike.
Redefining obsolescence in the built environment
Throughout September, we had speaker slots at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) conference, our own fringe event on obsolescence, and events at the London Real Estate Forum (LREF).

Urban development and planning consultants Dina Haddad and Faris Hussain investigated the potential for a daytime economy in Riyadh, a city that traditionally is most active at night. Their work was part of our Urban C:lab initiative that encourages collaboration and innovative thinking from across Buro Happold, and beyond.

Bristol Temple Quarter Campus: a net carbon neutral hub for innovation
The topping out ceremony for the Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus took place last month, marking a pivotal moment for the city. The University of Bristol's net carbon neutral campus will be home to 4,600 students and 650 staff. It will also provide dedicated space for around 300 enterprise partners, ranging from local SMEs to international companies, collaborating to translate world-class research into commercial opportunities.
Sustainable urban spaces: inside the Battery Park City Authority project
BPCA recently released the Battery Park City Sustainability Plan Progress Report, guided by the expertise of Buro Happold's advisory team. The report documents key findings from a comprehensive review of progress made towards the goals outlined in the BPC Sustainability Plan.
