Month 1, Year 2024.

Month 1, Year 2024.

2024 picked up where 2023 left off, with innovation and connectivity a key focus in January.

Here's a look back at what you might have missed from Virgin Media O2 last month:

From left to right: A child reading their watch looking ready to go on holiday, apprentices in discussion and a women is smiling, O2's friendly Bubl robot with the text 'The future in your hands' accompanied by the Samsung and O2 logos.

Tripophobia: With research showing that 2 in 5 Brits battle 'triopophobia' in the winter months, Dr. William Van Gordon shared his cost-saving travel tips. All O2 customers can roam like at home in 49 European destinations (up to 25GB)

Level playing field for Virgin Media O2 roles: Research conducted found that 74% of young people have been refused entry-level roles due to a lack of experience - we're proud to be creating 200 early careers roles where we hire on potential, rather than experience.

Samsung S24 range: We marked the opening of pre-order for the incredible new Samsung S24 range, with the introduction of Galaxy AI.

From left to right: Heysham marshes, a busy tube platform, Prezzo dishes including pasta and salad

Continuing our full-fibre rollout: We extended our gigabit broadband service to more than 12,000 homes in Heysham and Lancaster - who can now access speeds 17x faster than the local average

Our first full-year Movers Index: This revealed that 2023 was truly the year of the Great Office Return - with 40% of companies returning to a five-day office working week despite rising commuting costs.

25% off at Prezzo with Priority: O2 and Virgin Media customers can enjoy a whopping 25% off their bill at Prezzo until 11 February - with 50 lucky customers getting their Prezzo bill paid in full every single week. Early Valentine's meal, anyone?

The word 'Shetland' with an icon of a spotlight in the bottom right corner

This month we're spotlighting the incredible work of our network teams in Shetland, where we're transforming mobile connectivity on the island as we build and upgrade 6 masts in the area, which has been welcomed by local MSP, Beatrice Wishart.

This work is part of our ongoing commitment to the Shared Rural Network - with aims to transform connectivity for residents, businesses and visitors alike.
