Montgomery County Tennessee food banks.

Montgomery County Tennessee food banks.

Residents of Montgomery County can acquire food in a crisis from a local pantry. There are non-profit locations as well as churches set up to help low income and working poor families. Clients of these food banks include senior citizens, the disabled, and people in Tennessee that are living in poverty.

Both non-perishable bags of groceries are passed out and some sites also serve free hot meals. Staff at the food pantries, many of whom are volunteers, will also direct clients to other assistance programs for their nutritional needs in the city of Clarksville or elsewhere in the county. There may be SNAP food stamps, baby formula for newborns, clothing, and more. It is recommended that residents call a food bank near them in Montgomery County first for hours as well as information on resource that are available.
