What is Serv-Clip?

The Serv-Clip Hot Tap Connection is used to add test points and sensors onto a hydraulic circuit within 3 minutes. It's the perfect accessory for any hydraulic system, with the ability to add it onto existing systems or integrate it into new system designs.

There is no need to cut pipes - even if the system is pressurized up to 9,100 psi (630 bar). This means, on existing systems, there is no need to shut down your system, saving valuable production time and mitigating costly downtime.


More ways to monitor your system

Serv-Clip comes with an array of possible sensors that make monitoring your system easier with smart industry 4.0 technology. Carry out a variety of different measurements with one accessory. Attach pressure sensors, measure flow rate, monitor leakage, conduct oil sampling, gauge temperatures, and more.

The following sensors are designed to pair seamlessly with your Serv-Clip accessory:


Flow Rate Sensor

Flow meters and leakage sensors are designed for fluid checks and are suitable for hydraulic and gear oils.

  • Monitor flow rate and wear of pumps/cylinders
  • Operability of accumulators
  • Measure filter transmittance, heat exchanges, and nozzle flow rate
  • Capture speed of hydraulic motors


Leakage Sensor

Oil leaks are expensive. Quickly detect leaks with integrated leakage sensors into your hydraulic system.

A single hydraulic leak of one drop per second equals 420 gallons of oil in a 12 month period. Multiply 420 gallons by the current price and it’s clear that it isn’t worth it to let the problem continue. In addition to the cost of the lost oil, other machine parts can be damaged if the leak is severe.

Pressure Sensor

Use the pressure sensor on Serv-Clip type 1 or type 2 to measure the pressure of your hydraulic system.

In addition to its robust and compact design, this sensor stands out by its high accuracy and its extensive measurement range. As a standard, the housing and all parts exposed to the liquid are made of stainless steel (Type 1.4571).

Temperature Sensor

Used in conjunction with Serv-Clip type 2, this sensor can be used for direct temperature measurements inside non-pressurized pipes such as hydraulic and lubricating oil pipes. Housing and all parts exposed to liquid are made of stainless steel. Soft seals consist of Viton.

  • Take temperature of aggregates

Two different models for specific applications

Serv-Clip type 1 is used for mounting onto pressurized pipes, while type 2 is used to mount onto unpressurized pipes to install pumps or switches. Serv-Clip type 2 is the perfect accessory to add a sensor (or multiple) to your system.
