Money Won't Solve Your Problems

A rather controversial topic that many people don't like to hear!

So let's unpack that a bit...

In my mentorship world when I'm working with the more inexperienced entrepreneurs, it's often met with something like:?

"Yeah right! If I had $20,000 right now I could pay off this debt and hire that person and move to this place or x, y, z!"??

Here's the truth:

A?lack of money is always the SYMPTOM of a problem. It is never the problem.

This is where a combination of laws come in, similar to that of the law of gravity. Whether you like it or not is irrelevant...?the law of gravity just is.?

The laws are exacting and pay no heed to whether you're a sweet old granny or a 4-month-old baby, for example. The law remains precise and of equal applicability to both the sweet old lady and the baby.

Either one can fall off the roof of a 10-story building and... well, you know what will happen. Either one can walk in the road and get hit by a bus.?

Making money is a science with exacting principles, just like the law of gravity. If you've studied Wallace D. Wattles' book first written in 1910,?"The Science of Getting Rich", you'd understand what I'm referring to.??

The ART of making money, however, is a whole different arena!

Because this is the playground in which we have to re-align?and fortify a multitude of factors such as our emotions, thoughts, feelings, beliefs and values right through to our desires, discipline, commitment, focus and determination to see things through.?

For example, if you're struggling with a lack of sales right now (aka Income/Revenue) –?

• The lack of income is the direct effect/result of a lack of sales
• The lack of sales is due to a lack of prospects
• The lack of prospects is due to a lack of leads
• The lack of leads is due to something going potty with your marketing tactics?
• The lack of results produced by your marketing tactics is due to something going wrong with your marketing strategies?
• Finally, the lack of effective marketing strategies is the direct effect/result of a lack of something else having acted as the cause before the strategies were?executed:?

And the answer is... YOU!?

The business owner and sole individual responsible for creating and executing said strategies with their related tactics.

Whether it's a belief problem, a discipline problem, a knowledge or experience problem,?or a creative thinking problem:?it still falls on you as the current root cause.??

Even if?you're an established business owner who employs a marketing director, you are still responsible for the human you deployed within your team to fulfill said role?and responsibilities. You're still the one managing them, assessing results,?and providing your sign off to the ideas.??

All great leaders know that the buck starts and ends with us.?Always.

We don't blame our designers or PA / VA or outsourced suppliers/partners or mentors or coaches or team...?Nobody else. We don't play the "blame game".

Because we know this to be true: As within, so without. Even when it's a tough pill to swallow.

Pro Tip: If you've heard someone say something like: "You should've seen what X?website designer or Y?artist or Z team member did!"... My friends, walk away.

That human will do and say the exact same of you behind your back at some point, too, and it's simply because they haven't yet elevated their consciousness or raised their standards.

Shifting blame onto others for the results and outcomes we experience in our lives is is not leadership. It's cowardice.

Taking personal responsibility and holding yourself accountable for every single result, condition, circumstance and experience?currently reflected in your life is mission-critical to your holistic personal development and self-actualization.

Especially when we don't like what we see.?

To share one of my favorite Confucius quotes that ties in with us accepting responsibility for everything we experience: "The archer who misses his mark does not blame the target. He stops, corrects himself, and shoots again."

See, the steadfast natural laws and hermetic principles apply to each of us.

Going back to MONEY and why it won't solve your problems:

1. What are you resisting being or doing in your life (Cause) that's resulting in your lack of money/income (Effect) right now??
2. What have you been thinking + doing repeatedly (Cause) through your habits, behaviors and conditioned thought patterns which are disempowering (Effect) you???
3. Where have you had an intuitive nudge to do something different (Cause) that you believe would result in a different outcome (Effect)... but you're choosing to remain where you are and NOT take the necessary leap of faith???

Whether you're flat broke or making millions, think about it...

There are ways you're thinking which causes you to behave/act in certain ways, which results in your outcomes. Whether good or bad, whether you like the outcomes or not: it all starts and ends with YOU. You are literally at the center of every experience you've ever had.

This is the Law of Cause & Effect I'm referring to, and it's only one of the seven hermetic principles that govern every single on of the planet. Multiple other subsidiary laws exist, too. Again, like the law of gravity: it just exists.

When we learn to work with the laws and principles, both for our personal and professional lives, great things happen.

So, when Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp went down on Monday:

• Were you in a position to continue running your business and generating sales (making money) regardless??
• Or have you been building a so-called "business" on a cracked foundation because you haven't established a full-stack digital marketing strategy that serves your business and generates sales?through your *own* digital assets and IP??
