Money secret: Mastering the means of communication

In the industrial era (prior to the Internet era), the main way to make money was to work for a company.
Only companies had the necessary MEANS OF PRODUCTION which enabled them to make money, and then share a SMALL portion of profits with employees.
Innovation and production predominated.
Today, with Internet, MARKETING (specifically, promotion, which is one of the four pillars of the marketing mix) predominates.
In other words, the means of communication are more important and profitable than the means of production.
This is why you see so many people make TONS of profits with affiliate marketing (Clickbank, Amazon Associates, dropshipping, etc.), joint ventures, digital marketing, email marketing, etc.
Simply put, you don't need to create value or new products/services. You can just COMMUNICATE that value (that others have created) to prospects.
And guess what? Every single time you communicate on the Internet, you are using other people's computers and their Internet connection. You are also using billion-dollar tools like Facebook, Youtube, email, etc. -- which you did not have to pay for!
Meanwhile, most corporate employees work in a "bubble" where it seems like the Internet... does not exist!
They drive or commute to work every day, and sit in a cubicle staring at a computer screen. They are stressed out and their financial future doesn't seem to improve.
Why?
Because employees don't really "make money." Their employers make money, while they -- as employees, that is, as an expense item on the balance sheet -- cost money!
It's just a matter of time before their employers find cheaper labor in developing countries or in AI systems that can do the work faster, better, cheaper, nonstop (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
Now, let's not go overboard and overly criticize employees. They ARE smart in that they got a job that pays them REGULARLY.
Regular income is, indeed, a major challenge for freelancers and entrepreneurs.
Yet, regular income is possible IF you use the means of communication (emails, messages, blogs, videos, etc.) CONSISTENTLY, every single day.
(I'll talk later about Automated Messaging Apps, or AMAs, my recent invention. These AMAs drive you every day to communicate with EVERYONE you should be communicating with, and sends them exactly the RIGHT message to move them progressively towards a sale where both you and your new customer are winning).
Because the locus of value creation today has shifted from the means of production (i.e. working in a corporation) to the means of communication (i.e. working on a laptop connected to the Internet), those who master digital marketing will make a KILLING while employees will continue to struggle for the indefinite future.
Assuming that you understand and accept that the means of communication (mostly through Internet) will give you the financial independence and security you seek, what should you do now?
You should learn to communicate with human beings online.
Start to write simple letters (messages, emails, etc.) introducing yourself and what you do for others, how much you charge, what the benefits are, etc.
No, this is not copywriting, this is simply... commonsense writing.
Unfortunately, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube have conditioned people to write sloppily or, to put it more charitably, people can't even write 3 sequential paragraphs that actually make sense and don't contain grammatical errors.
Worse yet, people can't sell in writing, nor in person.
Salesmanship (in writing, on the phone, in person, etc.) is probably the most profitable skill yet it's the one people most often ignore!
However, let's start with baby steps.
Write one letter after another, on Linkedin or Facebook, to every single one of your friends or connections, and explain what you do.
Here's how your recipients will respond. They'll think:
"Oh, (your name) offers this product/service. Interesting. I think I'll try."
Then, they'll send you money via Paypal, and you simply send them the product as promised.
Better yet, they can download the product immediately after paying you.
This is really the SIMPLEST thing you can do on the Internet in order to make money.
No website, no SEO, no SEM, no email marketing, no blogging, no Youtubing, etc.
Just a simple email explaining what you do, how you do it, for whom, what the features and benefits are, etc.
People today have lost the art of simply writing to express their intention and to obtain a response.
Will you become good right away?
No. You'll need to practice over and over again.
But again, as mentioned above, writing is THE MOST PROFITABLE SKILL YOU CAN HAVE in today's Internet age.
