The survey, which included 1,000 participants, found that 34% of respondents in Hong Kong ended their relationships due to financial disagreements.? In Singapore, this figure was slightly lower at 27%.
The primary cause of these splits was excessive spending, cited by 43% of respondents across both regions.? A significant 78% of those surveyed believe that having open discussions about money can strengthen their relationships.? Moreover, over half (56%) reported that regular conversations about finances improved the quality of their relationships.
Despite this, many individuals still struggle to discuss financial issues candidly.?
