Money Martyr and Mothers! ??

As a woman, how good are you at creating balance in your life? 

Because as great as you are at giving in service to your clients, family and friends, you also need to be equally great at giving to yourself. 

And this isn't always something that comes easily to women – especially those of us who have a strong Martyr archetype. 

When I started my own money coaching journey, the Martyr was one of the most dominant archetypes for me. I was all about giving, and the idea of receiving was inconceivable.

But as nice a quality as giving is, when it's not married up with an equal dose of receiving it's really not very healthy.

In this month's newsletter we'll be having a little look at the Martyr and how you can bring its not so helpful qualities back into balance.

Money Martyrs & Mothers

This month in most countries around the world, it was Mother's Day. 

Which got me thinking about the Martyr money archetype, and how strong this used to be in my own money story, and how it shows up continuously with the many women and mom's I work with.   

In my blog this month I'm opening up about how I was a Martyr and how this impacted my life. And in the accompanying video I'm sharing some things I'd really love you to reflect on this month if you score high for the Martyr in my Money Quiz.

Something I’ve come to realise is how incredibly powerful it is for women to have open and honest discussions around money in a group setting. 

So often our experience is mirrored in the experience of others, and realising that we’re not alone in our beliefs and behaviours can bring huge relief and open the door for change.

This is one of the things that makes my Guided Groups program so special. Each group is an incredibly safe space where the ladies know they can be authentic and visible and share their skills and ask for support from the each other.

Every day I have pinch me moments when I think about the work I'm privileged to do and the incredible women I get to serve in my Guide Groups program and Money Magicians community.
