Is Money the Key to a Happy Life?

Is Money the Key to a Happy Life?

In my humble opinion, what we are seeking for as a collective is not just money. Do not get me wrong, having money can be extremely powerful. Spending money on fancy restaurants, transportation, incredible fashion and more is fulfilling for a moment. But, is money really what we are looking for to help us feel happy? I believe money is a tool that can fuel our dreams. However, money is not necessarily the only thing we need to feel fulfilled.

What I have learned recently is that what we really want is the feeling, not the money itself. Many people get this backwards and chase money to fill an empty void. Because they truly seek meaning and purpose in their lives. If what we want is a feeling and not money itself, how can we get those feelings and what feelings do we desire?

From being a coach I have observed that most people want happiness, safety, inner peace, power, freedom, impact or some other positive feeling. When you have a strong calling to generate money, ask yourself what feelings you crave? Ask yourself, what can you do to experience that feeling? The more we do things that make us experience those feelings the more money will come into our lives from all directions. But when we chase a physical object to give us happiness, that is when we can end up feeling empty. Because money itself is not the only thing we desire. We may want money for what we can do with it and how it makes us feel. Look at money as a tool to use, not as the only source of happiness itself.

The next time you are frustrated about not generating enough money or are stressed because you need more clients, ask yourself what feeling do I crave right now? How can I get more of that in my life? The better you feel the more money you will bring into your life as a result. Money can be a by-product of feeling happy. Therefore my most valuable advice is to focus on doing things that offer you the feelings you desire deep down. The more often you do things that bring you the feelings you want, the more money you will receive in your life.

Hello- I am looking for an audio coach and mentor for my son, who lives in Nashville. He is a gifted singer, composes music, struggles with lyrics, plays multiple instruments, has been in bands and does live sound, producing and mixing several albums. Incredibly talented, having great difficulty finding his "tribe" as he is not country style, and establishing himself in either performaing or producing or writing music for podcasts, commercials, etc. He is open to a lot of options, but feels he doesn;t know where to start or who to talk to. He needs help in setting priorities and following through, and with finding a mentor. Is this something you are interested in? Do you provide individual services for creative men, or only women? If you'd like to talk to him, I can arrange it. I am Susan Brefach, my email is susanbrefach@donestes,com. I would greatly appreciate a response. Thanks so much!
