Working out isn’t for everyone. Some people don’t have access to a gym, others don’t have time to work out, and others simply hate exercising. Recently, Cassey Ho, creator of Pop Pilates and founder of Blogilates, joined me on All Business with Jeffrey Hayzlett to talk about her brand of athletic gear and how she got started in the business of fitness.
Cassey is an entrepreneur who, in one year, went from teaching Pilates to four students in a small studio to over one hundred million views on YouTube, and becoming a millionaire. She used YouTube as a platform to build a group of loyal followers and reach millions, while monetizing her channel.
However, that wasn’t always the case. Cassey got her start as a fashion buyer, a job many would love to have, but she didn’t care for. It was a struggle for her to get up in the morning and go to work, but she pushed herself every morning, like many others do.
As luck would have it, one of the bags she designed was featured in a magazine and that snapped her into action to pursue her own path and follow her passion as an entrepreneur. Cassey wanted to make fitness fun for those who might not be able to go to the gym or have a fear of working out in public. Her YouTube videos were designed for people to work out at home and that struck a chord with many.
Cassey also told me about starting her own brand, which includes athletic gear, athletic clothing, and even water bottles. She’s a believer in finding the right inspiration for working out and part of that comes from living a life that you enjoy. She encouraged her followers to enjoy their lives, because once that is done, everything else falls into place. Cassey also tackled a very important subject – the idea of what beauty is. In an age where many feel the pressure to conform to what’s “beautiful,” Cassey encouraged everyone not to confirm to anyone else’s idea of beauty but their own.

8 年The thing I love about this is the ladies freedom to do her own thing. She didnt seem to compare to what others were doing. She did her own thing and made it happen. And that is hows its done. You take action, and then work it out.
