This is a great follow-up article David Evert! One of the most valuable lessons I learned from you was - Don’t Let “Perfect” Be the Enemy of “Good” (it took me nearly a week to write this comment - so I'm clearly still working on it) and I'd venture it's one of the most significant risks associated with joint product or service development within strategic alliances. You identify the root of the concern in Point 2 suggesting "outlining expectations" is critical, but Point 5 would benefit from an exploration of how an MVP strategy a) gets offerings into the market rapidly - something strategic alliance dev projects often struggle to do and b) validates market fit and the direction for future iterations - another issue often encountered in these situations.
