Monetize Your Book with Speaking

Keynote speakers often hear: you must write a book. If you're a speaker and you don't have a book, you're missing out!

The reverse is also true: you must make a speech!?When you have a book, a great way to capitalize on it is to speak to receptive audiences who are hungry for your message.

If you are like many professionals who have published books who haven't yet discovered the awesomeness that is speaking, consider these three ways you can turn your content into additional speaking?income streams:

1. Your entire book can be the basis for a keynote.?While you won't be able to say everything you share in your book, what you do share can leave them wanting more (in the back of the room, at the book table where you sell and sign books).

2. A chapter or entire section can be the basis of a keynote (or 3).?Consider choosing one impactful section of your book and expanding upon it in a presentation. Sometimes I simply teach The Four Cornerstones of a Professionally Published Book at conferences to help aspiring author meet excellent quality standards. You and I both know there is so much more?to our teaching, but this is a great start.

3. You can also do trainings, workshops, or seminars. Repurposing your book's content isn't limited to a 45-minute keynote presentation at conferences. In the past, I've done full-day trainings, four-hour workshops, and two-day seminars.?
