Our flagship product, NiADA (Non-invasive anemia Detection with AI), is a real-time smartphone application designed as a point-of-care solution for detecting anemia.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated AWS Support Engineer to join our dynamic startup team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in AWS services, particularly focusing on security, scalability, and performance. As a part of a growing company, you will be tasked with solving complex technical challenges, building efficient cloud-based solutions, and working collaboratively with multiple teams.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support for AWS Cognito, DynamoDB, Lambda (Java and Python), RDS, and other core AWS services.
- Authentication & Authorization: Troubleshoot and resolve authentication issues with AWS Cognito for secure access control.
- Database Management: Design, maintain, and optimize databases in AWS DynamoDB and Amazon RDS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Serverless Computing: Develop and troubleshoot AWS Lambda functions in Java and Python to support microservices architectures.
- Assumed Roles: Manage and support IAM Roles for cross-account access and security best practices.
- Elasticsearch Management: Implement and maintain Amazon Elasticsearch clusters, manage indices, and resolve search-related issues.
- Cloud Monitoring: Set up and manage Amazon CloudWatch to monitor system performance, create alerts, and analyze logs for preventive maintenance.
- Cost Optimization & Billing: Analyze AWS costs, implement cost-reduction strategies, and support billing and usage inquiries.
- Automation: Automate AWS operations using scripting (Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Backup & Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for databases and applications on AWS.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud security best practices, including VPC configuration, IAM policies, encryption, and incident response planning.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with development, QA, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve cloud-based solutions.
- AWS Cognito: Expertise in managing user pools, identity pools, authentication flows, and security.
- AWS DynamoDB: Proficiency in creating and maintaining scalable, high-performance NoSQL databases.
- AWS Lambda (Java & Python): Ability to write and deploy Lambda functions in Java and Python for serverless applications.
- Assumed Roles: Knowledge of IAM role creation and management for secure cross-account access.
- Amazon RDS: Experience in managing relational databases, backup strategies, and performance tuning.
- Amazon Elasticsearch: Familiarity with Elasticsearch cluster management, query performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- AWS CloudWatch: Expertise in setting up and managing metrics, log groups, dashboards, and alarms.
- AWS Billing & Cost Optimization: Experience with AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, and billing reports for cost management.
- S3, EC2, and VPC: Strong working knowledge of core AWS services like S3 (object storage), EC2 (compute), and VPC (networking).
- Security Best Practices: Knowledge of encryption, firewalls, IAM, and VPC configurations to ensure cloud infrastructure security.
- Automation: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) for automating tasks and using CloudFormation or Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using AWS services such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes on AWS.
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda Layers and API Gateway for building serverless APIs.
