Mondo Hackathon
Infraxis is very much focused on the latest developments in payments interfaces and apps.
Our products are designed to integrate the most modern approaches to banking technology with legacy systems and interfaces. We spend much of our time here connecting together all sorts of payments components, regardless of whether they are bang up to date, or venerable industry stalwarts.
When I discovered what Mondo Bank were doing I was fascinated - an API driven approach to personal finance, and a cutting-edge take on financial IT.
"We're building a smart bank from the ground up to deliver intelligent banking on your smartphone. Think timely alerts, useful data and instant payments. We’d love your help." - Mondo Bank
I have been invited to participate in their second Mondo Hackathon on November 14th-15th and I'm really looking forward to it. This will be an excellent opportunity to play with their new technology, learn more about what they are doing and share ideas with others who want to shape the banking technology of the future.
Looking at the report of the first Mondo Hackathon, the possibilities are immense and the results show it - from a 3D printed physical balance display to an automatic expenses submission using tagged payments - I can't wait to get stuck in.

9 年Hi John. In preparation for these new banking APIs, the UK treasury has held a consultation to gather concerns and risks. This will result in guidelines and likely regulation around the use of an Open banking API standard. I think the critical part is defining how this data may be shared and used above how it is physically protected. These APIs are about *sharing* banking data - which demands rules of engagement about what can and will be shared - and informing users of the implications.
