Monday Muses ~ Craig's Table
Welcome to Craig's Table- sit a while and enjoy the hospitality

Monday Muses ~ Craig's Table

Life really is at times the most (almost) impossible balancing act. As some of you realised last week's Monday Muses was rather short and very late. All of it due to a schedule that was far from elegant or timely; but it was fun and it was all required.

Firstly it was collecting the new Craig's Table banner and brochures for the Informa National Workers Compensation Summit

It had been a while since I had presented at any conference so it was a pleasure to be invited first to speak but also to be invited to facilitate workshop for the group who wanted to know more about Craig's Table- an even bigger treat for me to share the workshop with Robert Aurbach ?

Then on last Tuesday to speak to a room about Craig's Table was joy beyond measure.

It was interesting to from time to time look at the room and see the looks of understanding on the various faces: all of it was reassuring for me that what I was saying and the reason why I was speaking actually connected to the audience. It was also interesting to speak with those came up to me to ask more questions all of them leading with one of two questions; 1: when is Craig's Table coming to ... 2: how can I/we get involved and help build Craig's Table? For me it was truly amazing to know that so many people simply want to be involved and simply want to help in what ever manner they can.

As if the Summit wasn't enough Tuesday was also the official launch for Craig's Table. (sorry about the sideways photo) Paul and Christine Serong attended; they are Craig's parents and Patron's of Craig's Table.

We also had John Nagle interim CEO Care NSW attend and say a few very kind and very supportive words of what he can see is unfolding at Craig's Table and the importance of new approaches to a holistic process.

It would be remiss of me to say that due to work commitments Vivek Bhatia was unable to attend however Vivek was missed by a great many people.

What would be an "offical opening" without an addition to Craig's Table. Thank you Tatjana for the gift of goldfish.

The hectic pace of last week didn't slow down after the Summit and the afternoon tea. There was also the Summit Dinner to attend which meant a trip back into Sydney on Tuesday night. Then first thing Wednesday morning back into Sydney for a day of meetings and phone calls from the Summit followed by Craig's Table Board meeting.

By far though the most exciting day of the week was Thursday. Thursday was the start of yet another training day this time lead by Danielle Mik. Danielle took the participants through the first stage of Thrive Training. For me it is all about watching the "aha" moments and knowing that subtle changes within the heart/mind/soul are forming. All of it is so important for each of the participants to accept that they really are able to do things and decide just how their future will look on their terms. Whilst there is still a long way to go for each of them, they really do have solid ground forming under their feet. Friday arrived and it was time to consolidate the week in all I covered 200kms just going back and forth from Parramatta to Sydney. I spoke with numerous people I made new connections and by Friday night I was happily exhausted.

Last week could not have happened as easily as it did if Corey had not been there just holding everything at Craig's Table together. But it was more than Corey- Corey was supported by his wife Carla and his 3 children Isabella, Olivia and Edward; and also Corey's parent's Chris and Lyn (they flew down from Queensland just for the afternoon tea) The New South Wales A Team also helped Corey to put everything in place and just made everything easy.

Craig's Table really is a village, everyone pulled together last week, each of us reliant on each other to get from the start of the week to the end of the week. Each of us supported each other and stretched ourselves just that little bit more. To say that I was proud of everyone is a real understatement. When I finally drove out of the drive way on Friday night I knew that the week had been one of those weeks that we will refer to for a long time to come and smile simply because we all saw in each other the glimpse of what Craig's Table is all about.

Not everyone is a supporter of Craig's Table; I understand that. When new concepts come along, it is hard to let go of the known and it is hard to accept that things have to alter in oder to achieve a different outcome. One of the reasons Craig's Table runs an open door is so that the doubters can come in and see what we are doing. It really is very easy to cast aspersions and to question based only on scant knowing. All I can say is that Craig's Table is a reflection of everyone I have ever been fortunate to work with- everyone from the Marksman to the late David DePaolo and the late Wilhelm Jorgenson and to every white paper I have been gifted or purchased over many years and to Richard Grellman . There are countless people who have gifted me their knowledge via books I have read and studies I have followed. As I said at the Summit there are no university courses that teach what I know- I had to follow down whatever rabbit hole I could to learn concepts that could be translated into Craig's Table: those who know me know that I will go to a lecture on anything just to gain a new concept and then I will bring out the concepts together and bring them into Craig's Table. What is exciting to know is that there is much more to come.

Almost time to go and do the dishes before I do though if you have a few moments check out this short clip Also thank you Carla for my home made goncchi it was very thoughtful of you to make it for me.
