Monday Motivation - Fear is Meant to Serve You, Not Control You
Recently read an interview with explorer Bear Grylls and he was asked about fear. He said:
When we refuse to face stuff, though, the fears tend to escalate. That’s the irony. Courage is all about finding the resolve to move towards the fears.
Also, I like to see fear as a natural response to danger and in its best form it should keep us sharp and alert. But the key is to make it serve you rather than control you.
We meet a lot of people who are controlled by their fears.
They shy away from anything distantly resembling risk and do everything that they can to play it safe.
But Bear is right, fear is meant to serve you and keep you alert.
So embrace your fears.
Push through them.
Be bold.
Take action.
Change the world.
