Good Morning, we hope this finds all of you healthy. It's Monday in case you are having a hard time keeping track.
We have compiled information so that you don't have to search everywhere for it. None of this is information we wrote and we tried to put links if we thought you might want the actual details. M3DC is staying busy and working hard to not only continue to do our job for our clients, but also do what we can in this fight.

White House coronavirus response coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx said infections could peak in New York, Detroit and New Orleans in the next six to seven days. More than 1.2 million people have been infected around the globe as of today, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. In the U.S., more than 9,600 people have died from Covid-19, the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus. Deaths globally topped 69,500, according to Johns Hopkins. The virus is now in 183 countries and territories around the world. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was taken to hospital on Sunday, 10 days after he tested positive for coronavirus. Germany has become the fourth most infected country behind the U.S., Italy and Spain, overtaking China.
New York, and to a lesser degree New Jersey, remained the two states with the most confirmed cases, accounting for nearly half the country’s cases and deaths. Democratic New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said Saturday the state’s coronavirus death count now eclipses the death toll from 9/11 by more than 100.
Michigan ranks third among states in coronavirus cases, with more than 14,000 and 540 resulting deaths.
Secretary Esper
"Effective immediately, to the extent practical, all individuals on DoD property, installations, and facilities will wear cloth face coverings when they cannot maintain six feet of social distance in public areas or work centers" he went on to state that "all individuals are encouraged to fashion face coverings from household items or common materials, such as clean T-shirts or other clean cloths that can cover the nose and mouth area. Medical personal protective equipment such as N95 respirators or surgical masks will not be issued for this purpose as these will be reserved for the appropriate personnel. "

U.S. Service members’ rate of infection has risen to 466-per-million, while the general U.S. population rate has ballooned to 651-per-million. The DoD death rate has also risen, from 0.2 percent to 0.3 percent as of Friday, versus the overall 2.1 percent rate in the U.S. Currently, there are 905 troops with COVID-19, as well as 73 more who have recovered. The number stands at 395 for civilians, with 11 recovered; 244 dependents, with 12 recovered; and 106 contractors, two of whom have recovered.
As of Sunday morning, more than 21,300 Air and Army National Guard professionals are supporting the COVID-19 crisis response at the direction of their governors. Governors across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Washington D.C. have each mobilized components of their Army and Air National Guard to assist in their state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Two Navy hospital ships, Mercy and Comfort, are docked in Los Angeles and New York respectively, and both are now treating patients. On April 3rd, DoD changed the operating process so that ambulances will now go directly to the Comfort instead of heading to a hospital for screening first. Last week, the Army deployed field and combat support hospitals to Seattle and New York, which are now able to receive patients and provide even greater urgent care support. Additionally, the Navy's Expeditionary Medical Facilities (EMFs) are in the process of deploying to New Orleans and Dallas and will be fully operational over the next couple of days. Personnel assigned to U.S. Navy EMFs are trained to provide medical support, such as acute care and emergency care, and will work with local health authorities to support community needs.
The Army Corps of Engineers, in close coordination with mayors and governors, currently has more than 15,000 personnel engaged in FEMA assignments to set up temporary field hospitals in the areas with the greatest need. They built a hospital at the Javits Center in New York in just under four days, to provide further relief to local healthcare workers. The Army Corps of Engineers completed 549 of 669 alternate care facility site assessments. They've got eight contracts they're executing to create 9,800 beds in New York, Detroit, and Chicago, and nine contracts are pending for 6,200 beds in New York, New Jersey, Arizona, and Illinois.
Personally, M3DC is continuing to work from our home offices. We are putting up $5,000 of our company money and buying PPE supplies for those on the front lines like nurses, doctors, EMS, etc. We have been making sanitizing solution and hand sanitizer for donation as well. We are networking companies together who have supplies with those who have capacity to build. If you can help with any of the PPE supplies or just want to be more involved, please reach out.
We will continue to do our part in this fight, we are stronger together. We should not think of ourselves as Democrats or Republicans at this time, not defined by color, ethnicity, religion, location, gender, sexual orientation, language spoken, financial status .... we should only think in the context that: We Stand Together, We Are Stronger Together, We WILL BEAT THIS Together.
Take Care & Stay Safe, Misty
