Good morning!

What is on the agenda for today?

Did you plan out your day last night or is it just another day of going through the motions. Intention is such a powerful thing. Despite the chaos or obstacles, a day can bring, knowing what our agenda is for the day and knowing what we are trying to accomplish will keep us in forward motion. Living intentionally takes repeated effort. It is a simple concept to grasp, but not always easy to follow. Are your intentions based on end outcomes or are you someone just living with “good intentions”.

We tend to lean on small sayings like “I have good intentions” OR “I’m just living the dream”. Taking the time to pause on a Sunday night to reflect on the week and writing down what is most important for you to get done will help you to feel a sense of urgency but also a sense of knowing you are keeping the small promises you make to yourself when you do accomplish your goals.

Identifying what you would like to accomplish for the week and month ahead will give you an ability to plan more efficiently for each day ahead. As the day changes and distractions come up, you can always refer back to what is most important that day. It could be a simple change like no sugar, or it could be to spend 1 hour on that new skill or side hustle you have been thinking about. Maybe its 1 hour with your spouse or kids.

The power of intentional living is correlated well to writing out your agenda or goals. When you write it down, reflect on why it is important to you, or post it somewhere you create an internal and external coach for yourself. Having it written out and reflecting on it weekly or daily will help you to develop self-discipline around what it is you are trying to accomplish.

Today is a new day to adopt a new healthy habit and live with intention!
