Monday.. and March? Already?

Monday.. and March? Already?

Did time just speed up again?

So how do we actually move forward to get shit done this week? Planning on Mondays helps me.

Ugh, tedious. I used to feel that way.

When I don't plan, I float from thing to thing.

I don't finish the things, I procrastinate.

I thought planning was pointless because it never seemed to work out the way I wanted it to. But then I realised that I was too attached to the outcome.

Once I let go of that attachment and started planning without expectations, everything changed.

I found joy in the process of planning itself.

It gives me a sense of structure and clear vision for the week ahead.

Even if the plan changes (it inevitably does), I was still moving forward and taking steps towards my priority things.

Planning alone isn't taking inspired action - that is the next step. But planning is a great tool for self-development especially for the high intellect and busy mind.

It's all about finding what works for you. Because we do need time out, time to just be. So I factor that in too. I'm strategic about my time and energy. Business and personal.

For me, planning on Mondays has become a measuring marker for the week ahead. It's a time to map out my goals and opportunities, and give myself some much-needed structure.

TOP TIP: Much of my planning is done straight into my google calendar -NOT a list.

But here's the thing: planning doesn't have to be rigid or boring. I make it a ritual to look forward to each week.

If it feels overwhelming, remember support. We are not meant to be doing this alone. There are plenty of resources out there to help you with time management and planning. In fact, I have some free resources on my website that you can check out (shameless plug).

So I encourage you to find joy in planning without being attached to the outcome. Practice flexing that muscle.

Embrace the process and trust your intuition.

Maybe you'll start to trust your decisions on the next steps and find that Mondays aren't so bad after all.

If you're hungry for self development tips and techniques, I now have some free resources for you, and I'm always happy to chat.

I have enjoyed and have also embraced the cognitive exercise and plain productivity of planning . Approach strategy as an asset to learn from past failures; not as a chore. Yes, an accountability group still helps. Clare Belmont
