Waaaaay back in 1988 Bigger Than Life Advertising was testing a 55 foot tall, helium filled SUPERMAN.  He was being prepared to be covered with seeds and flown down the ROSE PARADE route in Pasadena on New Years' Day 1989! 

SUPERMAN was all gassed up and ready for a leak-test.  All of sudden, we realized that he was not strapped down!  So instead of a leak-test, he got a FLIGHT TEST!  This photo shows him just before he “flew away”.  Yesterday marked the 27th anniversary since Bigger Than Life Advertising let SUPERMAN get away!   See more amazing BIGGER THAN LIFE creations at https://www.btladv.com/products/giant-inflatables.html
