It is not uncommon to hear about Monday Blues (a feeling of dread about the start of a new workweek) at our workplaces. Is this stress and anxiety simply a result of not enjoying our jobs?
I believe there could be multiple reasons for this. A few maybe:
·??????Being hired to do something, but doing something completely different, and therefore hating their job.
·??????Working just to survive, so it is just a means of survival.
·??????Ignoring the importance of the role and its impact on the organization.
·??????Feeling underutilized.
·??????Lack of recognition for work done
There may be many reasons for these Monday blues, but if your work gives you anxiety instead of challenges, I believe you are not at the right place.
If you are just working to tick the box, you are not doing the right kind of work.
If your job doesn’t require your commitment and is not utilising your skills and potentials, you are working at the wrong place.
Does your job give you a sense of accomplishment? If not, it’s high time you re-think where you are.
