Mon Motors is excited to welcome Volvo Cars to our group of premium brands. The beginning of an exciting journey of growth and opportunity in Cardiff and the surrounding areas.

Since opening the doors at our temporary site on Hadfield Road in the Capitol we have been overwhelmed by the support and generosity of our new customers. The excellent feedback we have been given is the perfect omen of what is to come for this joint venture.

Volvo Cars have made strides throughout their history with world leading safety innovations with the first being the seat belt and latest with some innovating research to crash test dummies used to mimic all sizes and genders. Furthermore, their commitment to sustainability and electrification is inspiring to all of us here at Mon Motors.

It was Volvo who came out of the blocks early on with a full commitment to electrification. The brand expressed before it was a legal requirement that they would make the full switch of electric cars by 2030. The progress hasn’t halted there either with continued pressure to governments and energy companies to do more to help the EV Motorist and improve the network. Volvo are developing better battery technology which will result in vehicles capable of ranges up 600 miles, surpassing the capability of the combustion counterparts.

When you compare the unparallel design, premium feel and quality the Volvo range is one to be admired. The new all electric C40 is a great car to win over many new to the brand and EV motoring and XC40 range proving to remain ever popular with the Welsh public.

The story doesn’t stop with Volvo. A restoration of our temporary site is nearing its completion. We can now be found at Hadfield Road in Cardiff where we have our new and used vehicles available, with Aftersales support including a trade parts division available. But the future sees one more strategic move and that’s the relocation too what will become our final location.

The consultation and planning has begun to commence the building of a brand-new Volvo centre at Cardiff Gate Business Park. A fully modern and purpose built showroom will accommodate the expected growth in Cardiff and give unmatched service to the Volvo customers. A true flagship presence in the Capitol.?
