In Mom's Memory, I Share Love Today

The hush of Heaven holds my heart today.

Today in 1997, my Mom died. This picture is from 1970 when she was in Belgium (where she was born) around Christmas. She didn’t get to go often, but I found lots of wonderful pictures of her celebrating with her family there.

Mom loved Christmas and it always made her sad to pack up the decorations, I often consider that perhaps on a soul level she knew she would leave during this season.

Today I celebrate her life and all the love she left behind in this world…the rest doesn’t matter after all because it’s not the truth of who we are.

I embrace all she taught me that encourages me to be the best I can be, and I release any beliefs and any perceptions that would be anything other than in my highest good. We had our challenges in our relationship, but our love for one another was strong and continues in other ways now.

Thanks, Mom for all the beautiful gifts and lessons during our journey together. I can see that twinkle in your eye, hear your laughter, and pray all that you’ve experienced since has been nothing but enlightening.

Let all those you love know just how important they are as we never know when they won't be here anymore. Relish in the love of the season and create memories that will last a lifetime.

"Father, how still today! How quietly do all things fall in place! This is the day that has been chosen as the time in which I come to understand the lesson that there is no need that I do anything. In You is every choice already made. In You has every conflict been resolved. In You is everything I hope to find already given me. Your peace is mine. My heart is quiet, and my mind at rest. Your Love is Heaven, and Your Love is mine."

The stillness of today will give us hope that we have found the way, and traveled far along it to a wholly certain goal. Today we will not doubt the end which God Himself has promised us. We trust in Him, and in our Self, Who still is One with Him.
